The Cyclomix high-shear mixer offers fast, uniform mixing of cohesive rare earth powders such as neodymium, using combined shear and impact forces. Operating under inert gas (nitrogen or argon), it prevents oxidation during processing. Batch volumes from 1 to 1,000 litres support easy scale-up, while passivating powder coatings can be applied in the same step—ensuring high-purity, repeatable results.
For gentle blending of rare earth materials with lower cohesion or greater sensitivity, the Nauta® conical screw mixer is a proven choice. It delivers low-shear, homogenous mixing of rare earth compounds with additives or binders—without degrading particles. With low energy consumption, full discharge, and excellent cleanability, the Nauta mixer is perfect for precision blending in high-purity environments.
Hosokawa Alpine’s AFG-R fluidised bed opposed jet mill micronises rare earths like NdFeB to a d50 of <3–5 µm—critical for strong sintered magnets and high coercivity. The system runs under inert gas with recirculating nitrogen to protect product integrity and reduce energy use. Available for R&D and production (up to 250 kg/h), it features oil-free compression and enclosed separation to avoid contamination.
