Designed to dry chemically produced toner (CPT) powders to ultra-low moisture levels, the Nauta® Vacuum Dryer offers gentle, uniform drying without the risk of melting or agglomeration. Operating under high vacuum, the process maintains a low temperature to preserve product integrity throughout.
With drying volumes up to 22 m³, the cantilevered screw design prevents uncontrolled heat transfer from the screw supports. This ensures excellent product consistency, accurate temperature control and energy-efficient operation—supporting scalable, high-performance toner production.
Inorganic pigments such as metal oxides, sulphides and salts require ultra-fine processing and extremely low residual moisture for use in plastics, paints and inks. Hosokawa Micron offers an integrated solution combining a centrifuge and our DMR Flash Dryer, enabling one-step drying and milling of sticky pigment pastes.
This robust, compact system performs drying, milling and classifying in a single operation. The high-speed multi-blade rotor and integrated classifier ensure consistent, ultra-fine output with minimal moisture content. With outlet temperatures up to 175 °C, the system delivers maximum colour strength, high throughput and minimal downtime—ideal for continuous pigment production.
Post-blending of cohesive toner powders with flow agents and charge control additives is easily achieved with the Cyclomix High-Shear Mixer. Its intense mixing action creates a uniform monolayer coating around each particle while preventing hotspots. The vessel and cover feature integrated cooling to avoid heat build-up, and a unique shaft seal design eliminates the risk of melting in the seal area.

Hosokawa Alpine provides complete systems for milling and classifying toner and pigment powders with precise particle size control. The TFG Jet Mill is tailored for toner, pigments and powder coatings, offering consistent fine grinding, low product loss and easy cleaning.
For precise classification, the TSP and TTSP Ultra-Fine Classifiers handle demanding tasks like toner sizing or titanium dioxide dedusting. These systems can also be integrated downstream of drying in CPT production, enabling continuous, efficient processing with minimal downtime.
