We offer dedicated solutions for producers of mineral fertilisers and soil improvers, including those based on TriCalcium Phosphate (TCP) or DiCalcium Phosphate (DCP) combined with phosphoric acid. Whether you’re producing free-flowing agglomerates or compacted granules, Hosokawa systems deliver consistency, throughput, and product value.
Mixing & Agglomeration
The Flexomix agglomeration system is ideal for blending TCP or DCP with phosphoric acid in the optimal ratio. The product processed in the Flexomix is reactive and wet, requiring sufficient dwell time for complete reaction. After mixing, the reactive material requires sufficient dwell time for the chemical reaction to complete. A fluid bed dryer is typically added downstream to remove excess moisture, resulting in free-flowing agglomerates with uniform size, excellent flowability, and high conversion yield.
Compaction into uniform granules
Powder-form fertilisers can be challenging to handle, store and apply effectively in the field. Hosokawa Alpine offers high-capacity roller presses that compact powdery materials into uniform granules—improving flowability, reducing dust, and enabling precise dosing. With production rates up to 15 t/h, this robust compaction solution ensures optimal bulk density and mechanical strength without overcompressing the product, preserving its solubility and compatibility with downstream processing (e.g. grinding).
