Process Systems for Minerals & Metals
Over the decades, Hosokawa Micron developed many processing solutions that have proven successful for a wide variety of minerals and metals applications, from pilot-scale to production-size installations. A selection of those process solutions is listed below or published elsewhere on this website:
- Continuous drying of bentonite for ceramic filler using a DMR flash dryer;
- Intensive mixing of cement using a Cyclomix;
- Drying of silicon carbide (SiC) for abrasives using DMR flash dryer;
- Mixing of gypsum, additives and pigments for wall decoration using a Conical Paddle Mixer;
- Drying of zirconium oxide using a DMR flash dryer.
- Mixing of press powder for tool production using a Nauta mixer;
- Coating iron powder with resin using a Cyclomix;
- Mixing of iron powder with additives for press powder part production using a Nauta mixer;
- Intensive mixing of iron powder with additives for magnet production using a Cyclomix;
- Mixing of metal powders and filler for welding powder using a Nauta mixer;
- Agglomeration of welding powder for welding electrodes using a Flexomix.
